There's some serious weirdness going on in this Prell ad starring Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of Billy Joel and the shampoo's previous pitchwoman, Christie Brinkley. For starters, check out the portrait of Brinkley on the piano. It seems to have been slapped on sloppily in post-production. You can almost hear the discussions behind that decision: "How will they know who her mom is? She won't let us use 'supermodel's daughter' as her title." But that little retrofit is nothing compared to the awkward way she vaults into song at the end.
