Jes Sachse, a Canadian woman who has a rare genetic disorder called Freeman-Sheldon syndrome, appears in a bunch of American Apparel spoof ads from photographer Holly Norris—part of an art project that seeks to question the way people with disabilities are presented in the media. Norris explains on her website: "I chose American Apparel not just for their notable style, but also for their claims that many of their models are just 'everyday' women who are employees, friends and fans of the company.
