A match-up between college football’s top- and third-ranked teams was the top-ranked television offering for the week of Aug. 28, according to the Nielsen Social Content Ratings.

No. 1 University of Alabama’s blowout of No. 3 Florida State University on ABC tallied 4.919 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter, nearly three times the total of the University of Michigan’s victory over the University of Florida, also on ABC, at 1.712 million.

On the TV series and specials side, WWE Monday Night Raw on USA Network was tops with 389,000 interactions across the two social networks.

Starz’s Power placed second, at 304,000, followed by three episodes of Big Brother on CBS, with 252,000, 203,000 and 199,000 interactions, respectively.
