Preseason NFL games soared on the sports chart

The Colts' visit to AT&T Stadium in Dallas topped the sports chart

Game of Thrones continued its reign over the Nielsen Social Content Ratings, but its grip on the crown is showing signs of loosening.

The penultimate episode of the HBO drama’s seventh season totaled 2.518 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter during the week of Aug. 14, far outpacing ABC’s airing of CMA Fest 2017 and its 660,000.

WWE Monday Night Raw on USA Network placed third, with 357,000 total interactions.

On the sports side, the games may not count, but preseason National Football League action claimed seven of the top 10 spots, led by the Indianapolis Colts‘ visit to the Dallas Cowboys on NFL Network, with 1.137 million total interactions across Facebook and Twitter.

ESPN2 claimed second place on the sports chart with their presentation of the Spanish Super Cup soccer match between rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, at 1.112 million interactions.

Another NFL preseason tilt—Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh Steelers on NFL Network—placed third with 555,000 interactions across the two social networks.
