NEW YORK B.A. Albert has joined WPP Group's Grey in Atlanta as president and CCO, working closely with Joel Babbit, chairman of the 30-person office.

At Grey, she succeeds Stephen Ward, who was appointed to the same post last November but recently left the agency.

"B.A. Albert is a leading brand unto herself, having run her own highly-acclaimed agency in Atlanta for over a decade," said Jim Heekin, CEO of Grey Global, in a statement. "Her passion for big, bold creative ideas in every medium and dedication to client success knows no boundaries. She will be a dynamic leader for Grey Atlanta and a spirited partner to Joel in accelerating our growth."

Albert said, "I've been given one of the most exciting opportunities in Atlanta. Grey has great clients and staff and a terrific reputation. We're going to add to the momentum the agency has been building globally."

Dell, Georgia Power and the Women's Tennis Association are key clients of Grey's Atlanta outpost.

She most recently spent 12 years at Match, also in Atlanta, as CEO of the shop, which she founded. That agency closed a few weeks ago. During her career, she held senior creative posts at Burton-Campbell, McDonald and Little, DMB&B and Earle Palmer Brown, all in Atlanta, as well as N.W Ayer in Chicago and West Advertising in Tampa, Fla.
