Jennifer Giddens joins after brief stint with Netflix

The Oprah Winfrey Network has tapped Jennifer Giddens to join the cable network—co-owned by Discovery Inc. and Harpo Studios—as its new head of marketing.

In her new role, Giddens will oversee strategic marketing for OWN’s programming and its growing podcast portfolio. (In 2017, Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations podcast sold out all of its advertising slots in just 24 hours.)

Giddens, who will report to network president Tina Perry, will also work closely with the ad sales team.

Perry noted in a statement that Giddens has an extensive background delivering 360-degree marketing campaigns across numerous high-profile entertainment brands.
