GoDaddy.com said it has pulled a commercial called “Movies” from Sunday’s Super Bowl telecast on CBS because it could not get approval from one or more of the studios whose films were spoofed in the ad.

GoDaddy had confirmed last month that the spot had been approved by CBS. The ad, featuring Danica Patrick, spoofs the films Weird Science and Flashdance.

In a statement, client CEO Bob Parsons said: “We had received very positive feedback about our ‘Movies’ commercial and are disappointed it won’t air in the Super Bowl.
