The people behind this list of the 50 greatest commercials from the 1980s probably mean well. But they’re as delusional as they are ambitious if they think I’m going to sift through all these videos. It’s not that I’m lazy. OK, it is, but I also don’t get the fascination with the 1980s. If what I remember from my older brother’s childhood is accurate, all that wretched decade had to offer was acid-wash jeans, Cinderella and Hulk Hogan ice cream bars.
