This Astonishing Fan-Made Tesla Ad Is All CGI, Yet It Couldn’t Look More Beautifully Real

Automaker gets another unexpected gift

Tesla marketing, it seems, could live entirely off spec ads and do just fine.

Last year, there was the Everdream Pictures spot with an extraterrestrial theme. That ad was impressive. But this latest spec commercial for the automaker, from Parachute and director Sam O'Hare, is drop-dead gorgeous—and all the more stunning as it is completely CGI.

The idea of fireflies swarming an obsolete gas station is pretty inspired, as well.

Tesla, of course, can't help but fall in love with all the free advertising work it's getting. And while it hasn't directly commented on this production yet, it has retweeted TED chief Chris Anderson tweet about it.
