As one would expect, Dan Jaffe, evp of the Association of National Advertisers, has weighed in (OK, it’s a pun!) on the lawsuit the Center for Science in the Public Interest brought against Viacom and Kellogg for marketing unhealthy food to kids. Here’s a link to it on the ANA’s "Regulatory Rumblings" blog. It’s easy to agree with Jaffe that the First Amendment alone will prevent the suit from going anywhere. But it’s somewhat specious to declare that, "cheeseburgers, French fries, milkshakes, let alone sugared cereals, all can be part of a healthy diet."
