Ad for Facebook Pages Has a Major Google Vibe

Tried-and-true formula of dynamic screen shots

Headshot of Tim Nudd

Facebook is rolling out its new version of Pages, and asked directing collective Strike Anywhere for a commercial to promote it. The results are below—a very Google-like execution mixing dynamic screen shots (pans, mouse movements, text being typed, etc.) with live-action vignettes to weave together a few stories of how the site helps businesses and artists grow and connect with customers and fans. The spot features Bay Cities Italian Deli, Red Bull and musician Alex Winston. The soundtrack is the RAC remix of Winston's "Velvet Elvis."
