Peacock is jumping on the Bridgerton bandwagon, but the streamer is doing it with a reality twist.
The NBCUniversal-owned streaming service said on Wednesday that it has ordered Pride and Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance, a dating series that will take place in Regency-style England.

The series resembles something of a crossover of a dating show like ABC’s The Bachelorette, where several men compete to win over one woman, and a historical series like the BBC’s 1900 House, where subjects follow the customs, lifestyles and dress befitting a certain historical period and place.
“Transported to a Regency-style England, a group of eligible hopeful suitors will have to win the heart of our heroine, and her court,” the show’s description reads.
