Bridgerton, the flirty period drama from Shonda Rhimes’ production company Shondaland that became a huge hit after debuting Dec. 25 on Netflix, will return for a second season.

The renewal was announced Thursday morning in a tweet and in an announcement from Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers, the society gossip publication that is featured on the show. “The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honor to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season,” the letter reads.
