Loki Will Be First Disney+ Show Released on Wednesdays Instead of Fridays

The Marvel Studios character Loki, known as the God of Mischief, has been causing trouble onscreen for years. Now he has set his sights on upending Disney+’s release schedule.

Loki, the next Marvel series for Disney’s streaming service, will debut on Wednesday, June 9 two days earlier than planned. And new episodes will debut each Wednesday, departing from Disney+’s usual Friday release schedule.

Star Tom Hiddleston made the announcement today:

Disney+ has stuck to Friday releases for almost all of its originals, including The Mandalorian, since the platform’s debut in November 2019.
