Comcast Advertising named James Rooke the company’s new president, overseeing the day-to-day running of Comcast Cable’s advertising division.

Rooke takes over for Marcien Jenckes, who will manage the upcoming streaming joint venture between Comcast and Charter. Jenckes has been named managing director in a dual role, and Rooke will report to Jenckes.

The new Comcast advertising president will lead brands including Effectv, FreeWheel and AudienceXpress. Rooke joined Effectv in 2020 as the general manager.
