Welcome to Amazon, James Bond.

The tech giant finalized its $8.5 billion acquisition of Hollywood studio MGM, the company said. This is Amazon’s second-largest acquisition ever, only behind its $13.7 billion purchase of Whole Foods in 2017.

“MGM has a nearly century-long legacy of producing exceptional entertainment, and we share their commitment to delivering a broad slate of original films and television shows to a global audience,” said Mike Hopkins, svp of Prime Video and Amazon Studios, in a statement.
