Mary Emily O'Hara is a diversity and inclusion reporter. O'Hara specializes in covering LGBTQ+ issues and other underrepresented communities. They previously worked at Into, them., MSNBC and NBC News, the Daily Dot and Vice. In 2016, O'Hara won an NLGJA (National Association of LGBTQ Journalists) award for their coverage of transgender healthcare apps and is known for breaking the story of the nation's first legally nonbinary person obtaining legal status that same year. Their continued coverage ultimately helped lead at least 11 U.S. states to add gender-neutral options to driver's licenses and ID cards.
