After ridiculing him on billboards like this one across Toronto, Simply Audiobooks suddenly feels bad for George W. Bush. The company says it’s taking the ads down after reading about Lakehead University’s anti-Bush Yale Shmale campaign. Says Simply Audiobooks’ CMO: “We quickly realized we had to pull the billboards to minimize the potential for offending our friendly neighbors to the south.” Adds the company’s CEO: “The Lakehead posters took us completely by surprise. We didn’t want to create the impression that Canadian businesses have a political agenda, or are ganging up on the Bush administration.”
