Can’t say I agree with the thinking behind this PS3 ad. Partly because an old guy in a bathtub paraphrasing Trainspotting won’t be able sell me anything, and partly because it’s self-defeating to criticize fat mediocrity in an ad for a video-game console that, to quote PC World, was “late, expensive and incompatible” with a weak stable of original games. Even if it was the best console ever, the last thing you’d want to tell gamers is that you hate sedentary people.
