It’d make a change from all those erectile-dysfunction spots in which middle-aged men and women leer at one another. An item on the HealthScout Web site summarizes research that found Viagra helpful in reducing symptoms of jet lag—in hamsters, anyway. No, they didn’t put hamsters aboard airplanes, instead simulating jet-lag conditions in the laboratory. But before Viagra could be classified as a jet-lag cure, there’d have to be clinical trials in which people are dosed with the drug and sent off on long flights.
