The Dude keeps abiding at Lebowski Fest

I had no idea The Big Lebowski was this popular. I also had no idea that people who love it (drug addicts and apathetic college students, mostly) could organize events like Lebowski Fest on their own. According to the Web site, Lebowski Fest “can be likened to a Star Trek convention in a very loose sense,” and usually “takes place at a bowling alley and includes unlimited bowling, costume, trivia, farthest traveled and bowling contests, prizes, and what have you.”
