Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of March 6: FC Barcelona’s Comeback Is Tops

FC Barcelona’s historic comeback against Paris St.-Germain propelled the UEFA Champions League soccer match to the top spot in the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of March 6.

The 6-1 triumph by FC Barcelona in the tournament’s round of 16 erased a four-goal deficit from the first leg and resulted in 3.851 million total interactions across Facebook and Twitter for the week.

College basketball’s Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament matchup of rivals Duke University and the University of North Carolina, won by Duke, spurred 1.863 million total interactions across the two social networks, followed by NASCAR’s Monster Energy Cup Series: Kobalt 400 with 882,000.

As for television series and specials for the week of March 6, VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta topped the list with 648,000 total interactions across Facebook and Twitter, followed by NBC’s This Is Us (464,000) and AMC’s The Walking Dead (383,000).
