Week two of Canadian drama lead-out Combat Hospital dipped to a last-place 3.0/ 5 at 10 p.m., which was 17 percent below the 3.6/ 6 it kicked off with one week earlier (which only translated into a 1.2/ 3 in the demo).

NATIONAL RATINGS IN PRIME-TIME:

Week of June 20, 2011

NBC reigned supreme in this third week in June, with a first-place finish in total viewers and the three key demos: adults 18-49, adults 25-54, and adults 18-34. And NBC’s victory, of course, stems from The Voice and summer favorite America’s Got Talent. Growth for the Peacock net from one year earlier was as much as 20 percent (in total viewers and adults 18-49). CBS finished first in households.

Erosion was the visible observation elsewhere, with a glut of repeats hogging the airwaves and one network in particular, The CW, with no original programming this summer.

There were three series premieres this week—ABC’s 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show, Canadian drama Combat Hospital, and Expedition Impossibleand they performed as follows:

101 Ways to Leave a Game Show (ABC) – Tuesday 9 p.m.

Viewers: 5.57 million (#29 overall), A18-49: 1.9/ 5 (#13t overall)

Growth out of lead-in Wipeout (Viewers: 5.31 million; A18-49: 1.7/ 6 at 8 p.m.) was 260,000 viewers and 12 percent among adults 18-49.

Grade: B

Combat Hospital (ABC) – Tuesday 10 p.m.

Viewers: 5.32 million (#33), A18-49: 1.2/ 3 (#40t)

Retention out of 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show was solid in total viewers, but erosion among adults 18-49 was notable at 37 percent.

Grade: C

Expedition Impossible (ABC) – Thursday 9 p.m.

Viewers: 7.18 million (#14), A18-49: 2.4/ 7 (#6t)

Full demo retention out of Wipeout makes Expedition Impossible a show to keep a positive eye on this summer.

Grade: B+

In season-premiere news, Canadian drama Rookie Blue opened season two on ABC with 5.83 million viewers (#25) and a 1.6/ 5 among adults 18-49 (#20t), which led the Thursday 10 p.m. hour in the demo. Retention out of lead-in Expedition Impossible was 81 percent in total viewers and 67 percent among adults 18-49. The second, and final, season of The Marriage Ref on NBC kicked off with 4.69 million viewers (#41) and a 1.7/ 5 in the demo (#17t) in the Sunday 10 p.m. hour.

Also on ABC, the series-finale of sophomore Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution earned its cancelation stripes with just 2.57 million viewers (#76) and a 0.8/ 3 (#66t) in the demo in the Friday 9 p.m. hour.
