Discovery Communications' joint venture with Hasbro, The Hub, has tapped Dena Kaplan to join its team as the company's new chief marketing officer. Kaplan hails from NFL Network and will report to Hub president and CEO Margaret Loesch; the appointment will be effective late this month after Kaplan wraps up her tenure as svp of marketing at NFL Net.

The Hub is currently Hasbro's steadiest entertainment asset; with the next Transformers film two years off, Battleship capsized at the box office, and G.I.
