Fox’s Lone Star First Casualty of New Season

Just two episodes into its run, Fox has removed low-rated drama Lone Star from the Monday 9 p.m. hour, with former occupant Lie to Me scheduled to return on Oct. 4.

Lone Star opened with just 4.10 million viewers and a 1.3 rating/3 share among adults 18-49 (out of 10.69 million viewers and a 4.2/11 in the demo for lead-in House) on Sept. 20, according to Nielsen Media Research. The second and final episode dipped to 3.23 million viewers and a 1.0/ 3 among adults 18-49 on Sept. 27.  There is no word if Fox has any plans of airing the remaining episodes online or on a later date.
Fox, in addition, is moving sophomore drama Human Target from Fridays to Wednesday at 8 p.m. effective on Nov. 17. The Wednesday anchor slot opened once Lie to Me was shifted to Monday. There is no word at present what will fill the Friday 8 p.m. hour into struggling returnee The Good Guys.
