At the TV season’s midpoint, CBS ranks as the top-rated broadcast network both in total viewers and in 18-49 viewers. Of course, with Fox’s American Idol about to launch its 10th cycle, those rankings could change. But few can deny CBS’s dominating presence in the TV landscape. With a successful slate of procedural dramas, hit comedies and veteran reality series, CBS remains the most stable of the major broadcasters.

And with few holes to fill on its schedule, the Viacom-owned network is premiering only three midseason entries—four, if you count the already launched contest show starring Paula Abdul, Live to Dance.
