ABC Changes Its Fall Plans, Moves Quantico to Sundays

Drama replaces Of Kings and Prophets, but Tuesdays are uncertain

Three weeks after announcing its conservative 2015-2016 schedule, ABC is already making changes to its fall lineup.

The network is moving its new FBI drama Quantico from a planned 10 p.m. Tuesday slot to Sundays at 10 p.m., where it will replace biblical drama Of Kings and Prophets. That retelling of the David and Saul story is undergoing some casting changes and won't be ready for the start of the fall season.

ABC hasn't announced a replacement for what will air Tuesdays at 10, though expect a decision before too long, as buyers involved in upfront negotiations will demand to know the network's Plan B. That has been one of TV's worst time slots over the past several years, with four ABC dramas being canceled there during the last two seasons. (Sundays at 10, however, has fared no better for ABC in recent years.)

Before the move, Tuesdays at 10 was going to be home to one of fall's biggest time-slot battles, with Quantico facing off against CBS newbie Limitless, as well as NBC's live variety show, Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris.

ABC began tinkering with the fall schedule earlier this week, renaming its Sunday night drama Blood & Oil after previously announcing its title as Oil. And you can expect several more changes to the fall lineup from several networks before next season kicks off in September.
