Semafor’s Upcoming Tech Summit Is Already an Eight-Figure Business

Silicon Valley & The World has signed 24 commercial partners ahead of its November debut, the latest sign of how central events have become to the publisher

The global business and economy publisher Semafor has lined up 24 commercial partners for Silicon Valley & The World, a new two-day event focused on the AI economy that the publisher will host for the first time in November.

The deals have pushed revenue for the first-year event “well into the eight figures,” according to Semafor chief commercial officer Rachel Oppenheim. She declined to share further financial specifics.

The eight founding partners are Boston Consulting Group, Cisco, Cognizant, Deloitte, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Genesis, Infosys, and the Solana Foundation.

“These brands have conviction around backing something that has not been done before,” Oppenheim said.
