What’s the first information you consume in the morning? The first thing I do is gather all the sports information that I can get. I turn on the television set, go to Fox Sports 1, then I’ll go online and read The Dallas Morning News, and then I’ll read USA Today online. Are you on Twitter or any other social media? No. Absolutely not. I don’t tweet, twit or anything. I want nothing to do with it. I don’t have any desire to express my opinions on social media, and I certainly don’t have this idea that people are curious about what Terry Bradshaw is doing. I find that you can get yourself in quite a bit of trouble, too, if you’re too honest or not careful on there. Fox tried to get me to do it; I just said, nah. So no posting selfies for you. No, no selfies. I just found out what a selfie is! And I’m glad because I would have had to ask, “What is that?!” Do you have an iPhone or an iPad? I have an iPhone 4 which everyone laughs at because they say that it’s so outdated. And I do have an iPad, which is really important for me because I travel so much. I’ve always just thought of iPhones as a way for people to text me because they always say, “I can’t get you on the phone.” Well, I don’t keep a phone with me! My phone always stays charging on a windowsill. Even when I leave the house to go into town, sometimes I intentionally leave my phone behind. I like a little bit of peace and quiet. Do you have any favorite apps? My apps are basic. I have a weather app and junk like that. My calendar is in there. Is that an app? I guess it is. [Michael] Strahan and those guys, they’re loaded down with apps. They do it all. Selfies, the whole bit. And they all have two phones! That’s crazy. Are you in fantasy football league? I’m not. I got plenty of football in my life. I do advise people, though. Everybody at the office has got a little fantasy thing going. I actually helped a girl one time, and she won it all. She thinks I’m a genius. But for the most part, on our show, when we do picks, I don’t do a very good job. What do you watch on TV? I love the big events, like boxing. I love thoroughbred racing. I love college football, but it’s gotta be teams I’m interested in. I watch pretty much every NFL game. My television is primarily on the Turner Classic Movies channel. I’m an old black-and-white movie guy—Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Myrna Loy. I love ‘em. What’s on your reading list? I just finished another biography on Patton. I’ve got five books on George S. Patton on my bookshelf right now, and I’ve got another six or seven Mark Twain books all stacked up. I read a lot of religious books, too. I actually printed out the speech that [George C. Scott] gave in the opening scene of [the film] Patton and have been memorizing it. How do you wind down before bed? For the most part, my wife and I turn the TV down, four of our five dogs are in our laps—our German shepherd is on the floor in front of us—and we’ll watch a nice romantic film.
