How do you stand out when you’re one of more than two dozen NewFronts presenters? For Estrella Media, the answer was simple: The multiplatform, Spanish-language media company held two events this week, following up its Wednesday NewFronts presentation on digital initiatives with a broadcast-centric virtual upfront event on Thursday.

Estrella’s new digital initiatives include the launch of the EstrellaTV and Estrella News channels on Pluto TV en Español. Estrella News will also now be a live channel available 24/7 on Amazon News through Amazon Fire TV.

‘Perfect for digital’

Estrella executives are especially excited about the streaming news offering, which launched during the pandemic.

“The response [to Estrella News] has been outstanding,” Estrella Media CEO Peter Markham told Adweek.
