SAG members have overwhelmingly approved a new two-year Basic Cable Live Action contract, which includes a 3 percent wage increase retroactive to June 10 and a 3.5 percent bump next June 10.

Balloting, which represented a 25.8 percent return, resulted in a 93.7 percent “yes” vote.

The agreement will expire concurrently with the guild’s theatrical/TV agreements on June 30, 2011.

The deal does not include animated programs, which are covered under separate contracts ratified this month. The pact is the sixth contract SAG has ratified this year.
