In another sign of continuing softness in the print media marketplace, Reed Elsevier today said it would close 23 business-to-business titles, though its best-known property, Variety, was not among them.
Since last year, the company has been divesting its U.S. controlled circulation titles. It sold Publishers Weekly earlier this month to a group led by PW’s former publisher, Joe Slowik. In March, Sandow Media bought several titles including Interior Design, Home Accents, Casual Living and Furniture Today.
