The Marvel Studios character Loki, known as the God of Mischief, has been causing trouble onscreen for years. Now he has set his sights on upending Disney+’s release schedule.

Loki, the next Marvel series for Disney’s streaming service, will debut on Wednesday, June 9 two days earlier than planned. And new episodes will debut each Wednesday, departing from Disney+’s usual Friday release schedule.

Star Tom Hiddleston made the announcement today:

Disney+ has stuck to Friday releases for almost all of its originals, including The Mandalorian, since the platform’s debut in November 2019.
