Discovery Joins Disney, ViacomCBS in Setting Upfronts Week Virtual Event

May’s upfronts week—which was canceled last year due to the pandemic—is rapidly roaring back to life.

Following Wednesday’s announcements that Disney and ViacomCBS would resume the annual May tradition for marketers and return to their usual upfronts week spots to hold a virtual presentation, a third media company has joined them: Discovery Inc.

The company told Adweek that it will also host a virtual event for marketers on May 18 at 10 a.m. ET.

That’s the same time that it would normally have been hosting buyers for its in-person gathering in New York.
