MLB CMO Karin Timpone to Exit Next Year

She joined the league in 2021 and helped strengthen the league's relationship with its fans

Major League Baseball’s chief marketing officer Karin Timpione is leaving her role at the end of this year, both she and MLB confirmed to ADWEEK. She has yet to announce her next move.

Timpone made the initial announcement on her LinkedIn page.

“Thanks [to] my league and club colleagues for many seasons of excitement — 4 World Series! — with marketing breakthroughs along the way,” Timpone wrote on LinkedIn. “Together, we lifted brand relevance metrics with creative campaigns, design and experiential marketing and contributed to attendance lifts with performance and AI-powered marketing.”

MLB said it will share more information about her successor and any other changes to its marketing department’s structure at a later date.
