EXCLUSIVE: McCann Global Chairman Daryl Lee to Depart

Longtime ad exec exits 7 months after Omnicom’s IPG acquisition

McCann chairman Daryl Lee will depart the company effective next week, ADWEEK has learned.

Lee was named chairman of the creative network in December, after Omnicom closed its acquisition of McCann parent company Interpublic Group (IPG). Prior to that, he was global CEO of McCann Worldgroup for three and a half years.

He spent the past two decades of his career at IPG within the McCann network, joining in 2006 as global president and head of global strategy.

Lee ran McCann Erickson as global CEO for nearly three years before moving to the media side as global CEO of Universal McCann (UM), and then rising up to global CEO of IPG Mediabrands.
