Bob Greenblatt is calling in reinforcements, and the development exec behind the ABC hit Modern Family has answered the alarm.

Twentieth Century Fox Television evp of development Jennifer Nicholson Salke is joining NBC as the network’s entertainment president, a move that has been in the wind for months.

In her new role, Salke will oversee NBC’s prime-time and daytime slates, with the comedy and drama development teams reporting directly to her. She effectively replaces Angela Bromstad, who was pushed out of her post on January 20, two days before regulators approved the Comcast-NBC Universal merger.

Salke had worked her way up the org chart at Twentieth TV for the better part of the last decade.
