It’s the end of an era at KGO-AM, Citadel Broadcasting’s News/Talk station in San Francisco. Mickey Luckoff, for 35 years the station’s president and general manager, told the station staff Monday (Oct. 4) that he gave Citadel two weeks notice.

During most of the years Luckoff presided over the formerly owned ABC station, KGO was the clear ratings leader. Then late last year, CBS Radio’s KCBS-AM knocked KGO from its perch down to third place.
