The Federal Communications Commission late Friday (April 16) extended the comment period for Comcast’s bid to acquire 51 percent of NBC Universal because it has not received the economic reports that support the merger from Comcast and NBCU. The new deadline will be set 45 days after the FCC gives notice that the economic reports have been submitted.

Public comments on the $30 billion transaction were originally due May 3 with reply comments due June 2.
