MGM Domestic Television has acquired the U.S. broadcast rights to Emmy Award-winning Discovery Channel game show Cash Cab for a fall 2010 debut.

“Cash Cab is an addictive game show with a built-in fan base and a proven track record, making it an ideal choice for broadcasters,” said John Bryan, executive vp, Broadcast Strategy, MGM. “We’re very excited to be bringing Cash Cab to U.S. syndication.”

“Cash Cab combines the fast-pace of a game show with knowledge and entertainment, which are core attributes of Discovery content,” said Tom Cosgrove, chief operating officer and executive vp of Discovery Channel.
