NBCU Racks Up Off-Net 'Office' Clearances

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has sold Emmy-winning sitcom The Office to 93 percent of the country for a fall 2009 off-network syndication debut. 

The Office has been cleared on stations in several broadcast groups, including Fox, CBS, Gannett, Hearst-Argyle, LIN, Local TV, Meredith, Peachtree TV, Sinclair and Tribune. The Fox Television Stations deal includes affiliates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Minneapolis, Orlando, Baltimore and Memphis.  
 
“In the tradition of NBC’s legendary Thursday night comedies, The Office is set to debut in syndication next fall with a tremendous loyal 18-49 fan base that is eager to watch their favorite series five days a week,” said Barry Wallach, President, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.
