KRIV, Fox Television’s owned-and-operated station in Houston will add two, half-hour early newscasts at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., the station announced Tuesday (June 3). When the newscasts debut Aug. 18, KRIV will air a total of six hours of local news daily, more than any other station in the market.

“This expansion is a natural next step for our station, allowing us to provide Houston viewers a full day of local news, weather and traffic,” said D’Artagnan Bebel, vp and general manager of KRIV.
