To accelerate digital radio sales across several platforms, Katz Media Group announced Tuesday (April 29) the formation of Katz 360 Sales under its Katz Radio Group. The dedicated digital sales group will concentrate on offering national advertisers targeted radio inventory in the digital space, including on-air, online, HD and mobile.

Brian Benedik, the former president of KRG’s Christal Radio was named president of Katz 360 Sales.

The formation of the new group builds on Katz’s acquisition last year of Net Radio Sales, a rep for Internet radio stations and the online radio channels of radio groups such as Cox Radio, Entercom Communications and Emmis Communications. The new unit will also work with Katz Mobile and Katz Database.

“By consolidating these assets into a single unit, we can offer our broadcasting clients, advertisers and new technology partners a powerful way to boost the revenue potential of their digital platforms,” said Mark Gray, president of KRG.

Clear Channel Radio, which has the largest portfolio of stations streamed online, handles its own Internet radio sales through Clear Channel Katz Advantage.
