Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming feature Sherlock Holmes has stepped in as the new sponsor for Fox’s upcoming Family Guy variety special.
The Guy Ritchie-directed film starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law replaces Microsoft, which pulled out last week after the software company’s executives watched the taping of Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show.
The special, set to air Nov. 8 during Fox’s Sunday animated block, will feature a sneak peek at Sherlock Holmes, which opens Christmas Day.
Fox made the announcement Saturday during the preshow of Game 3 of the World Series.
