Social-media giving campaign “The Give Back” gave back, as Publishers Clearing House delivered a check for $200,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital following the fourth year of the initiative.
In this year’s campaign, PCH guaranteed at least $150,000 to St. Jude, and the hospital received an additional $50,000 due to Facebook users who like the PCH page playing games including Mahjongg Dimensions, Tri Peaks Solitaire and Sunken Treasures: Gems of Atlantis on PCH.com, PCHGames.com, PCHSearcandWin.com and PCHLotto.com and earning tokens.
PCH executive vice president Deborah Holland said in a release announcing the check presentation:
This was one of the most exciting years for The Give Back, with increased audience engagement across digital properties and channels.
