University of California, San Francisco Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann Elected To Facebook Board
Granted, it’s only one seat, but critics of Facebook’s board of directors bemoaning the lack of women, aside from Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, will likely welcome the addition of University of California, San Francisco Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann.
Granted, it’s only one seat, but critics of Facebook’s board of directors bemoaning the lack of women, aside from Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, will likely welcome the addition of University of California, San Francisco Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann.
Desmond-Hellmann oversees all aspects of the university and medical center’s strategy and operations. Prior to USF, she served as president, product development at biotechnology company Genentech.
She also serves on the board of directors for Procter & Gamble, and as a trustee for nonprofit medical research organization the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
