Did you know that you can add stickers to your posts before sharing them on Instagram Stories? If you’ve yet to try this feature for yourself, our guide will help you get started. Note: These screenshots were captured in the Instagram application on iOS.
Step 1: Tap the Camera icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap the large circular button at the bottom of the screen to take a picture. Note: Stickers can be added to Boomerangs and videos, in addition to still photos. You can switch capture modes by swiping on the words at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Once you’ve taken a picture, Boomerang or video, tap the smiling-face icon in the top-right corner of the screen to bring up the stickers library.
Step 4: Scroll through the stickers library and tap a sticker to add it to your post.
Step 5 (Optional): You can drag the sticker around the post and use pinch-to-zoom controls to rotate it and/or change its size. Note: The appearance of the “location,” “temperature” and “time” stickers can also be changed by simply tapping on them once they’re on a post.
Step 6: (Optional): If you’d like to add another sticker, tap the smiling-face icon in the top-right corner of the screen to once again bring up the stickers library. If you want to delete a sticker, tap and drag the sticker to cause a trash can to appear at the bottom of the screen. Drag the sticker to the trash can to delete it.
Step 7: Once you’re done customizing the post, tap the “+” icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen to share it to your Instagram Story. Alternatively, you can tap the arrow icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to send the post directly to individual Instagram contacts. You can also share the post to your Instagram Story from this menu.
