Business accounts on Instagram (as well as regular users) have had the ability to include up to 10 photos and videos in a single post since February, and now, businesses can promote those posts.
Brands on Instagram can promote these organic carousel posts directly via their smartphones, as a promote button will appear beneath the content.
Clicking that button gives brands the option to aim for more profile or website visits, or to reach users located near a specific address.
Instagram provided examples of ways that small businesses have been taking advantage of the ability to include multiple photos and videos in single posts:
