Raycom, ITV to Launch Series

Raycom Media is stepping into the syndication business through a deal with ITV Studios.

Beginning in October, Raycom Media’s TV stations will air a new weekly, first-run lifestyle series produced by ITV. The two companies also plan to offer the program to other stations not owned by Raycom.

America Today, (the working title of the program) will be a hybrid of national and local content, focusing on lifestyle, health and finance issues.

“The series will speak to a new generation of viewers who want programming that helps them lead better lives,” said Paul McTear, president and CEO for Raycom.

Initial production calls for 52 hour-long episodes.
