FiOS Inks Carriage Deal With Disney, ESPN

Verizon’s FiOS TV and Walt Disney’s Disney and ESPN Media Networks Group on Thursday unveiled a new long-term carriage agreement that also covers new content.

The companies said the new content offers will include the Disney Junior and ESPN 3-D networks, highlights channel ESPN Goal Line, mobile programming—mainly “signature programming” from Disney XD and ABC Family—and live online streaming of several ESPN networks, such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater.

“We’re very excited to begin offering our FiOS subscribers this new variety of ESPN and Disney programming,” said Verizon vp for content strategy and acquisition Terry Denson.
